HOUSING
All characters start out in the Zeta District of Omega, a residential area left in considerable disarray following the Cerberus occupation. Utilities aren’t guaranteed to work, and when they do there’s no promise of hot water. The space is in fact in such poor shape that no one else has any real interest in it -- at least, not until now.

Of course, nothing’s free. You’ll need to earn your way by participating in the district’s repair efforts, particularly if you want your home to be any more habitable. You’ll have to pay Aria for protection, though, and what little money you get from repair work will quickly be spent on the essentials.

The apartments available have space for 2 or 4 people, respectively, scattered through a number of towers in the district. Your character can choose any room to live in; for financial reasons, however, they will need to have at least one roommate. There is no rent -- this is protection money, paid directly to Aria. Failure to pay will result in her underlings applying some (literal) pressure.

features.
φ Small kitchen, includes stove, microwave, small fridge, etc
φ Living area (about enough room for a small couch and a viewscreen)
φ One full bathroom
φ Two to three bedrooms, depending on # of occupants

Should your character find themselves a better job, they will be able to afford some of Omega's finer accommodations.

These accomodations require a level 2 or 3 job or the equivalent income. If you aren't paying Aria, you're paying somebody -- whether it's another of the merc groups or whoever's currently in power in the district.

features.
φ Luxurious kitchen, most (if not all) of the latest technology
φ Substantially bigger living area
φ Multiple bathrooms, consistent running water
φ Two to three bedrooms, depending on # of occupants

wait, how do i find a roommate?
The mods don't keep track of housing; there's no IC reason to, and we find it rather tedious. As such, we've set up a public google spreadsheet so that you can sort these things out on your own. Please use the player contact page to get in touch with a player first if you're interested in having your character room with theirs.

how does my character claim a room?
All your character has to do is pick an empty room and claim it for their own. We recommend installing locks. Omega is the bad side of the galaxy, after all.

what if i can’t find someone to room with?
If you’re having trouble finding another PC for a roommate, you’re free to use an NPC. Most of the aliens on the station would work, but keep in mind that turians and quarians can’t eat human food, batarians and humans don’t get along in general, and vorcha are... well, vorcha. Additionally, geth don’t use civilian housing; they’re synthetic.
